‘I’m ready to marry you’- This Indian Actress proposes Mohammad Shami after sensational performance in ODI World Cup 2023

Mohammad Shami is currently the talk of the town not only in the cricketing circle but in the entire country as he has set up the ODI World Cup 2023 on fire with his venomous bowling. Shami was not included in the initial 4 matches due to team balance issues but the injury to Hardik Pandya in the match against Bangladesh prompted India to get him into the side.

Since his inclusion in the team, Shami has wreaked havoc in the tournament by taking 16 wickets in just 4 matches at a staggering average of 7. The Indian pace trio of Shami, Siraj, and Bumrah has been unstoppable in the World Cup as Shami has proven to be a vital cog in the Indian bowling line-up.

But off-the-field things haven’t been as rosy for Shami as it’s been on the field. Shami is facing trial in an ongoing case filed by his estranged wife five years ago. Shami’s personal life has been difficult since he got separated from his first wife in 2018. But recently, after his brilliant performance in the World Cup, Shami got a marriage proposal from Actress Payal Ghosh who tweeted that she is ready to marry Shami and become his second wife.

After Shami’s five-wicket haul against Sri Lanka on November 2, actress Payal Ghosh tweeted, “Shami tum apna English Sudharo, I’m ready to marry you.” Though it looked like the actress tweeted playfully Mohammad Shami’s fans were quick to respond to her by saying that he won’t marry you as she is not eligible for her.

Who is Payal Ghosh?

Payal Ghosh comes from Kolkata and she completed her education at Kolkata’s Scottish Church College. She began her acting career in 2008 with the English film ‘Sharpe’s Peril and went on to act in Telegu, Kannada, and Hindi Cinema.

She came into prominence from her part in 2017’s Bollywood movie “Patel ki Punjabi Shadi” where she worked with veterans such as Paresh Rawal and Rishi Kapoor. She is also involved in politics apart from her acting career.
