After 45 matches and nearly 45 days of non-stop cricket, the ODI World Cup 2023 is in its final week. The four semi-finalists are ready to battle it out for the biggest prize in the history of ODI Cricket.

The first semi-final is set to be played on Wednesday at the famed Wankhede Stadium. It is a re-match of the 2019 ODI World Cup semi-finals between India (IND) and New Zealand (NZ). Four years ago Virat Kohli led the Indian side had fallen short by 18 runs in MS Dhoni’s final game with the Indian team.

New Zealand qualified fourth in the table after their huge win over Sri Lanka in Bengaluru. The Indian team though went through the group phases without losing a single game. The last these two teams met was in Dharamshala where India beat the Kiwis by 4 wickets. This was India’s first win over the Blacks Caps in ODI World Cups for 20 years.
