Ben Stokes is arguably the best all-rounder in the world going around and his importance in the England white-ball team can be ascertained from the fact that despite announcing his retirement from ODI Cricket and given the talent the England white-ball team possesses, Ben Stokes has been called out from his retirement by skipper Jos Butler for the ODI World Cup 2023.

But it’s been three matches and Stokes hasn’t fared in any of these matches as he was suffering from a hip injury from which Stokes has fully recovered and is expected to play in England’s next fixture against South Africa. But the injury that Stokes caught at the start of the tournament during warm-up matches was once looked upon as tournament threatening by Stokes but he is glad that he managed to recover from it before it would have been too late.

Stokes said,” When I initially did it, I thought I was done," Stokes revealed on Thursday, "because it's not good hearing a pop. Thankfully, it wasn't anywhere near as bad as we initially thought… we got a program in place straight away and it went well. I'm here now, physically being available for selection, so it's pretty good."

Stokes will go all guns blazing in Mumbai

England have lost 2 out of their games so far but the loss against Afghanistan would have hurt them even more as they were the overwhelming favorites in that particular game and they have a difficult road ahead as they are yet to play their difficult matches starting from tomorrow against South Africa.

Ben Stokes's availability for tomorrow’s match will strengthen the England batting line-up even further as Stokes won’t be bowling much in this tournament. Stokes is all pumped up to join the boys back on the field though he has been giving moral support from the sidelines but now it’s time for him to take charge from the field as he enjoys a reputation both in his team and in other teams as well.

Stokes stated, “It's obviously been a frustrating little niggle to get before the tournament started, but I've worked very hard to get to where I am now… I'm pretty confident that everything will be good.” Stokes understands that England’s not been playing the way it is expected of them as they have the flagbearers of attacking Cricket in the recent past and is confident that the team will come back stronger.

Stokes said, “We want to go out and show the opposition what England is and what we've been known for… it's just reminding ourselves about what we do best as a group of players: to always be on top of the opposition, and always make the plays, and make them be the reactive team, as opposed to us.".
