David Warner is arguably the most loved foreign cricketer in India and he also considers India as his second home. We have time and again seen Warner’s love for Tollywood especially Allu Arjun as he last week only wished the Telegu superstar on getting the National Award for Pushpa.  Apart from that Warner is frequently seen doing the Pushpa hook step on the cricketing field and today after getting his second consecutive ton of the World Cup, Warner again got the Pushpa hook step going which again won the hearts of Cricket fans all over India.

David Warner showcased his brilliance once again by notching his 22nd one-day international century in Australia's ICC Cricket World Cup encounter against the Netherlands, held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The left-handed batsman reached the three-figure mark in 92 balls, embellishing his innings with 10 boundaries and three mighty sixes. Remarkably, Warner navigated the nervous nineties, patiently accumulating runs for approximately seven overs.

This century marked Warner's second consecutive hundred in the World Cup, following his spectacular 163 off 124 balls against Pakistan in Australia's previous ODI World Cup outing. In achieving this feat, Warner joined an elite group of Australians who have scored back-to-back centuries in World Cups, a club that includes Mark Waugh (1996), Ricky Ponting (2003-07), and Matthew Hayden (2007).

Warner's fifth World Cup century not only placed him in the rarified company but also elevated him above prominent cricketers like Ricky Ponting and Kumar Sangakkara, tying him with Sachin Tendulkar and leaving him second only to Rohit Sharma in terms of the most hundreds in World Cup history. His innings was eventually concluded at 104, falling to the bowling of Logan van Beek.

In the same match, Marnus Labuschagne, in his World Cup debut, achieved his ninth ODI half-century, scoring 62 runs off just 42 balls before falling victim to a catch at long-on after facing the next five deliveries.

Steve Smith, another key figure in the Australian squad, contributed with a sizzling half-century of his own before being dismissed for 71 off 78 balls. His wicket fell to Aryan Dutt of the Netherlands, who claimed the prized scalp as Smith played a delivery straight into the hands of Roelof van der Merwe at backward point. Warner and Smith had earlier combined forces for a 132-run partnership for the second wicket.
