Australia won their 6th ODI World Cup title defeating India by 6 wickets in front of 95,000 crowd Indian supporters at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Australia entered into the finals as the second favorite against the India team who didn’t even let anyone come close to them in the league stages on their home turf.

Winning the World Cup after losing the initial two matches, Australia once again proved their capabilities of becoming the Champions and why they are termed as the favorites in any tournament they enter irrespective of their form.

To win such a big tournament against India, calls for a celebration. Moreover, the Australians did celebrate in style after winning the coveted trophy. In a video of the Australian dressing room that got viral in the social media, the Australian players can be seen enjoying each other's company and celebrating their triumph.

In stark contrast to their traditional celebrations, there were no boisterous scenes of trophy-hoisting amidst a sea of beer-drenched players. This time, the Australians marked their World Cup victory with a more subdued yet equally joyous affair. There were no grand gesture, just a sense of quiet satisfaction as they held aloft the coveted trophy under the Narendra Modi Stadium stands.

Australia halts India’s juggernaut

India, having won all ten of their matches leading up to the final, carried the hopes of a nation as they sought their third ODI World Cup title. However, their dreams were dashed by Australia, who reigned supreme in every aspect of the game. Restricted to a mere 240 runs on a slow pitch after losing the toss, only Virat Kohli (54) and Lokesh Rahul (66) managed to score half-centuries.

Australia reclaimed their throne as the undisputed masters of one-day cricket, securing their sixth World Cup title with a record-breaking feat. Their triumph over India in the low-scoring final was sealed by Travis Head's exceptional innings of 137.
