The highly-anticipated 2023 Men's ODI World Cup will kick off on November 5 as the Cricket Governing Body released the schedule for the mega event on Tuesday, June 27. Finalists of the previous edition, England and New Zealand, will face off in the tournament opener at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The grand finale will also be held at the same venue on November 19.

The blockbuster clash of the multi-national event, India vs Pakistan, has been scheduled for October 15 in Ahmedabad. Meanwhile, the Men in Blue will begin its campaign against Australia on October 8 in Chennai. If India qualifies for the Semi-final, they will play in Mumbai unless they face Pakistan. If Rohit Sharma and Co have to face Babar Azam's team in the knockout match, the game will be played in Kolkata.

The 10-team tournament will be held in ten different venues: Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dharamsala, Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Kolkata. Hyderabad will also host the warm-up matches from 29 September to 3 October, along with Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram.

Eight out of ten teams have already qualified through the Cricket World Cup Super League. The remaining two teams are yet to be decided and will be determined at the end of the World Cup Qualifier tournament in Zimbabwe, which concludes on July 9.

In the primary round, each team competes against the other nine teams in a round-robin format, with the top four teams advancing to the semi-finals. The first semi-final will be played on Wednesday, November 15, in Mumbai, and the second semi-final will be held in Kolkata on November 16. Both the semi-finals and the final will have reserve days in case the weather ruins any of the deciding games.
