Spanish Young Tennis star Carlos Alcaraz became the 2023 Wimbledon champion after he defeated the legendary Serbian Tennis player Novak Djokovic in the final. However, both players may face each other once again soon as Djokovic is preparing to return to the court in Cincinnati Masters.

Meanwhile, Djokovic’s coach Goran Ivanisevic recently sent a warning to Alcaraz and said that Daniil Medvedev and Jannik Sinner can end his hopes of winning the US Open beside Djokovic. Ivanisevic also believes that Djokovic is the only ‘dinosaur’ remaining among the big three Tennis Icons Roger Federer, Rafael Nada and the Serbian star.

"Novak remains the only ‘dinosaur’ among those older ones, the rest are all young guys. It’s a normal sequence, but there’s still something to ask the elders.” Ivanisevic was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

Sinner is the only one who can threaten him at the US Open, along with Novak: Goran Ivanisevic

Alcaraz is set to start his Canadian Open campaign on Wednesday, August 9 in Toronto. Ivanisevic further added and said that Sinner can threaten a lot Alcaraz as he has a better game than the Spanish 20-year-old star and they also had interesting matches earlier as well. However, he also thinks that if Medvedev plays well on the day, there is no one better than him, so Alcaraz might also think about him as well.

“Alcaraz is a story by himself, and Sinner is the only one who can threaten him at the US Open, along with Novak. The game that Sinner has doesn’t match Alcaraz and they have had very interesting matches so far. Also, if Medvedev plays well on the day, he is also a phenomenal player for me. There is no one who can stay in a long match with Alcaraz except Sinner and Djokovic. Those who cannot stay for long at Alcaraz’s pace can immediately pack their rackets and go home.” Ivanisevic added.
