Star England allrounder Moeen Ali pulled out of retirement ahead of the ongoing Ashes series and appeared in the first Test. He was absent for the second game due to injury. However, he made a crucial comeback in the third game by playing a pivotal role in England's Headingley triumph.

Meanwhile, speaking about his future and England's next Test series, Moeen said that he is not thinking about it. While answering the question related to the India tour, he said he was not really excited. "Not really, to be honest with you. I think for me, it's about getting through these two games if I play these two games," said Moeen. "It's not easy; I find Test cricket really hard. It is the hardest and best format out there, for sure", he further added.

Notably, Moeen announced his retirement from Test cricket in 2021 after playing 64 matches. However, with an injury to Jack Leach, Moeen was called out of retirement by the England Cricket Board. It was a wise decision considering England skipper Ben Stokes and coach Brendon McCullum had very few spin options.

Further speaking about the ongoing Ashes series and how much he is enjoying his time in the dressing room, Moeen said that he wishes it was there five years ago. "But I've really enjoyed my time since I've come back, and it's been a brilliant environment. I wish it was this five years ago." Notably, Moeen has been playing in various T20 leagues despite taking retirement from international cricket.

Meanwhile, England and Moeen will move to Manchester for the fourth Test of the ongoing Ashes series. The hosts are trailing in the five-match series by 1-2 to Australia. After winning in Leeds, the team will have positive momentum and will be keen to carry their form into the fourth Test match to level the series.
