The Chief selector of the Indian cricket team Chetan Sharma has been roped into the controversy after his sting operation with Zee News. The former pacer made some shocking revelations about various players and the team staff. He claimed that Hardik Pandya used to come to his house to discuss his future in the team. He also talked about the rift between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Along with this Sharma also said that Kohli has deliberately accused Sourav Ganguly of his removal from captaincy from all formats. Ganguly was serving as the Board’s President at that time.

He was quoted saying, "Rohit was talking to me for half an hour this morning. Whatever Rohit and I discussed it will not go outside this room. Current cricketers are also in touch with me. Hardik Pandya had come, and he had a casual chat with me. Deepak Hooda had come. Umesh Yadav came to meet me the other day."

However, as mentioned in Sportskeeda, an official from the Indian Cricket Board has slammed Chetan for his allegations and stated that no big player from the Indian team wants to have a conversation with him. The official also added that the trust factor between the players and the board has been compromised after the sting operation.

"Chetan spoke a bit too much. None of the top India players talk to him. Have you seen him speak to Rahul Dravid, Virat Kohli, or Rohit Sharma publicly in any training session? He would stand in one corner during T20 World Cup in Australia and no one bothered to speak to him," the official from the Indian Cricket board said.

"No player or selector will be comfortable on sharing a cordial relationship even with well-meaning journalists after this sting as the trust factor has been compromised," he further added.

There has been no official comments from the Indian Cricket Board regarding this. The Indian team is currently focused on the ongoing Border- Gavaskar Trophy which will be resumed with the second Test on February 17th.
