The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Friday named a 15-member squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup, slated to be played in Australia. Jos Butter would be leading the side, while opening batter Jason Roy is the notable omission from the squad. Fast bowlers such as Chris Woakes and Mark Wood have recovered from their respective injuries and have been named in both squads for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
England will play their opening match of the T20 World Cup on October 22nd against Afghanistan in Perth. Jos Buttler's side will square off against Australia on October 28th while the Three Lions will take on New Zealand on the 1st of November. The final of the 20-20 World Cup will be played on November 13 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Roy was the notable omission from the squad and his absence has created an uproar on Twitter. England have a great squad with batting down to number 11 and also have a great set of pace bowlers and spin bowlers. Mark Wood will be the X-Factor for England in the pace department and the likes of David Willey and Reece Topley will shoulder responsibilities.
The batting will be shouldered by the likes of Moeen Ali, Ben Stokes, Liam Livingstone, Jos Buttler, Jonny Bairstow, Sam Curran, and David Malan, who will provide left-handed option in the middle order for England.
The spin department will be led by Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali and the swing bowling part will be taken care of by Chris Woakes.
All in all, the England squad bears a strong look and as a side, they will be one of the favorites to win the upcoming T20 World Cup that in Australia. England will want to put their all-out aggressive approach to great use in the T20 World Cup 2022.
Following the squad announcement, fans came up with a lot of reaction on Twitter. Here's a look at some of the most notable ones:

Just reward for a lot of hard work
