The ongoing Caribbean Premier League 2022 is approaching its endgame. As for the 28th match, Guyana Amazon Warriors and Trinbago Knight Riders faced each other with the Riders’ skipper winning the toss and electing to field first. 

It turned out to be a great powerplay for the Warriors as Rahmanullah Gurbaz provided a fiery finish to the sixth over. However, post the powerplay, the middle overs turned out to be a tough one for Guyana Amazon Warriors. However, the Afghanistan star and Shakib Al Hasan kept the scoreboard ticking. 

The duo put on a great partnership and helped Guyana Amazon Warriors get set to put on a huge total. Speaking of the Riders’ bowlers, albeit they got the momentum after the powerplay, they couldn’t hold to the pressure. However, both Gurbaz and Hasan perished in quick succession during the death overs. 

The Warriors ended up amassing 173 runs as they bagged twenty of them in the final over alone.

Trinbago Knight Riders got off to a fiery start in the powerplay and scored 47 runs at the end of the powerplay. However, things got worse for the Kieron Pollard-led team as Guyana Amazon Warriors came back harder. In the middle overs, Trinbago Knight Riders felt it hard to make a move on.

Albeit Colin Munro and Samit Patel scored decent thirty-odd runs, Shakib Al Hasan kept it tight to even score a century. At the end of fifteen overs, Trinbago Knight Riders lost five wickets. A double-wicket final over Josh Sinclair sealed the match for the Warriors as they won the match by 37 runs. 

Guyana Amazon Warriors made it to the top two with a stunning win against Trinbago Knight Riders. However, the Knight Riders are having a tough time and they remain in the last position. It is a season to forget for the Kieron Pollard-led team and they will ensure to give their best next season.
