Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) vs Chennai Super Kings (CSK) clash was abandoned due to rain, but Afghanistan pacer Naveen-ul-Haq's post-match picture created a stir on social media. Naveen was under fire after his altercation with Virat Kohli during LSG's match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Lucknow on Monday, May 1, and, on Wednesday, he posed for a picture with MS Dhoni, which went viral on social media.
RCB defeated LSG by 18 runs at the Ekana Stadium, but it was a heated exchange between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir that grabbed the headlines rather than the match. But it was only an extension of what started between Kohli and the LSG seamer during the match. Several video clips showing Naveen and Kohli initiating the proceedings have been doing the rounds on social media, which escalated with the involvement of LSG mentor Gambhir after the match.
Meanwhile, an image of Naveen with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper Dhoni posted by LSG on their Twitter handle has gone viral on social media, with many fans saying that the Afghan bowler is trying to gain sympathy from Indians fans, while some praising him for showing respect to the legendary captain.

How did the Gambhir-Kohli spat start?
The altercation began with the former RCB captain saying some words directed at Naveen during the second innings. The LSG star was enraged with Kohli's act, and Amit Mishra and Umpire had to interfere to keep them apart. The real brawl began after the match, when Naveen uttered a few words to Kohli as the two exchanged an aggressive handshake.
After Naveen-Kohli battle, Gambhir entered the scene and warned Kohli not to say anything to his players, whom he considered his โfamilyโ. In reply to the former India batter, Kohli said, โThen you take care of your family.โ
The ugly verbal spat between the two Delhi players escalated to the point where teammates and staff from both teams had to separate them. Kohli and Gambhir were fined 100% of their match fee for breaking the IPL code of Conduct, while Naveen was fined 50% of his match fee.
Here's how fans reacted to Naveen and Dhoni's picture:
