Chahal is playing for Kent Cricket County

Chahal has reached an arrangement with Kent following his omission from the national team for the ongoing Asia Cup and the upcoming ODI World Cup. This move will make him the second Indian player to represent Kent, following seamer Arshdeep Singh, who played five matches for the team in June-July, securing an impressive tally of 13 wickets.

Citing his performance, the head coach of Kent Cricket Paul Downtown expressed his feelings about working with the Indian spin maestro for the last three league matches in the championship considering that the frontline spinners for Kent, Matt Parkinson and Hami Qadri are unavailable for the franchise. Chahal has played 33 first-class matches in which the spin wizard has claimed 87 wickets with an impressive average of 35.25,

"We're delighted to have secured a spinner of Yuzvendra's quality for the last three Championship matches of the season, with Matt Parkinson not available to us until next year, and Hami Qadri recently injured. He is really looking forward to playing in English conditions and will bring a significant amount of skill and international experience to our squad," Paul Downton said.
