In a high-scoring thriller at the Wankhede Stadium on Saturday night, Mumbai Indians (MI) were on track to chase down a mammoth target of 215 runs set by Punjab Kings (PBKS) but Arshdeep Singh's incredible last over denied the five-time champions victory on their own soil. When 16 runs were needed in the final over, the left-arm bowler kept his cool and took two back-to-back wickets, guiding his team to a 13-run victory in the Indian Premier League 2023.

With well-set Suryakumar Yadav and big-hitter Tim David on the crease, MI camp was relieved when 40 runs were required in the final three overs. However, Arshdeep, who bowled the 18th over, dismissed SKY for 57 off 26 balls while conceding only nine runs. PBKS skipper Sam Curran gave the final over to the calm head Arshdeep, who bowled a fantastic over, conceding only two runs and removing Tilak Varma and Nehal Wadhera.

Interestingly, not only has Arshdeep's death bowling been a topic of discussion, but so has the cost of LED stumps. It was like watching a replay as Arshdeep got his final two wickets, castling both Tilak and Wadhera with magnificent deliveries and breaking the batters' middle stumps on both occasions.

Watch the video below:

The fun fact is that, he conceded the least runs for the PBKS, yesterday, but it turned out to be the most expensive over as a set of LED stumps with Zing bails cost 24 Lakhs INR.

Although he didn't win Player of the Match, Arshdeep deserved it along with Sam Curran, who won the award for his brilliant half-century in the first innings.

In his post-match presentation, the Punjab player said: "Feels good whenever I take wickets. Right now I feel even happier as the team won. I have shortened my run-up as it helped me with the no-ball problem and I am enjoying my cricket at the moment. Danny (Morrison) you should come and stand next to me (when bowling the final over), the heartbeat is not even close to 120."
