Former India captain MS Dhoni has been going through treatment for his knees from a local ‘vaidya’ after complaining about pain in both his knees. The legendary cricketer has reportedly been visiting a local ayurvedic practitioner in his hometown Ranchi for his treatment.

Vandan Singh is a renowned practitioner in Ranchi. He advises his patients to consume milk that has been mixed with a variety of herbs. He said that Dhoni had taken one dose of the medication a month prior and that he was unsure of the timing of his next appointment to receive the next dose. The medical professional said, in a video that has since gone viral online, how he was unable to recognize Dhoni and only learned about him after locals began taking pictures with the superstar.

According to a report by Times Now News, Dhoni’s parents had been going to the specialist for two to three months before Dhoni joined them after feeling some discomfort. Dhoni informed the doctor about some aches in both of his knees, and then he was given a dosage of an INR 40 medicine.

MS Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket on 15th August 2020. The wicketkeeper-batter last represented India during the 2019 world cup semi-final against New Zealand. The former India Captain scored 50 off 72 balls in the match before getting run-out in the second-last over of the match with the team needing just 21 runs.

MS is only seen now playing for the ‘Chennai’ franchise in the Indian T20 league. Ever since he retired from international cricket, his fans have been speculating the moment when India’s most successful limited-overs captain will bid the final adieu to his cricketing career. The captain cool has many times stated that his career’s final ever game will be at his franchise’s home ground, Chennai also famously called ‘Chepauk’. The ground has witnessed many memorable moments of Dhoni’s career. The ‘trophy-collector’ from Ranchi will be seen in action again during the next year’s Indian T20 league.
