Mohsin Khan's coach reveals what Mohammed Shami told about the youngster

Mohsin Khan was bought by Lucknow at his base price of INR 20 Lakh during the mega auction of the Indian T20 League 2022. He got a chance to play in nine matches for the team throughout the tournament.

In these matches, Khan scalped 14 wickets, and had an amazing economy rate of 5.96 to his name. He impressed everyone with his stellar performances in the 15^th edition of the league.

Mohsin’s coach, Badruddin Siddiqui, has previously worked with the senior pacer Mohammed Shami. Siddiqui has recently talked about how it would be possible for Mohsin to place himself as one of the best all-rounders in the country.

“When the auction was going on, I was sitting with Shami in his farmhouse. He was picked, and so was Mohsin. And then, we were having a conversation about him. Shami told me, ‘If you just give me four months with him, I’ll make him India’s best all-rounder’. He is a very good batsman. And even KL Rahul said earlier that he has a good understanding of the game.” Mohsin’s coach, Siddiqui was quoted as saying in a conversation with a sports media outlet.

“There can be many bowlers but you need to have a good understanding. You need to know what ball to use against which batsman. Today, Shami is a big bowler. But he is always ready to help the up-and-coming youngsters,” Siddiqui added later.

To note, Mohsin has also extended his gratitude to the senior pacer for his support as they both have the practice sessions in which they worked together during the covid lockdown.

“I spent a lot of time with Shami Bhai during the Lockdown. A pitch was being made at his place and it was taking a lot of time, so initially, we worked a lot on our fitness. He kept telling me that these things (fitness) are very important and will come in handy later.”
