Adil Rashid was the hero for England with the ball in the semi-final and final of the 20-20 World Cup 2022 which England won against India and Pakistan respectively. Rashid picked up 2-22 in his four overs which kept Pakistan down to just 137-8 in their 20 overs in the final, thereby, helping England win their second T20 title since 2010.

England will not have any time to celebrate the win due to the hectic international schedule. They will have to play a bilateral series in just a short period of three days. Adil Rashid said that was a horrible thing to happen but they are shortchanged for time and that they have to play according to the schedule.

"Those kinds of things are a shame. Having a game in three days' time, it's horrible. As players we're kind of getting used to it now, ".

Rashid was in roaring form in the semi-final against India as well where he picked up 1-20 off his four overs.

The players should not cry about the international schedule- Clarke

Meanwhile, Rashid’s remark about the packed international schedule did not go down well with former Australian captain Michael Clarke who said,

"If it was playing in the T20 World Cup and then the next day get on a plane to depart for the Indian T20 League, I don't think you'd hear anybody whinge,".

Adil Rashid has also put his name for the Indian T20 League auction for this season. Clarke said that the schedule is hard but the players can balance it out by taking periodic breaks. He also went on to say that if a player goes on to play in the Indian T20 League for the money then they cannot complain about the hectic schedule.

"Players can't complain about the international schedule when they're taking the opportunity to play domestic cricket as well for franchises for money when you can have that six or eight week off. Then you'd be as fresh as a daisy."
