Dambulla Aura is top of the table in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2023 with their last-match win against B-Love Kandy. In the 19th match of the LPL 2023, the Kandy-based side was 20 runs short of the target as Dambulla put on 163 runs to win the game. A notable change was Aura replacing Pakistan speedster Hasan Ali with his teammate Shahnawaz Dahani, who ended his four-over with 1/25. 

At the start of the play, Kandy won the toss and elected to field first, Dhananjaya de Silva-led side batted first and had a great opening partnership of 61 runs in 7.5 overs. Both openers Avishka Fernando and Sadeera Samarawickrama were dismissed within 10 overs for 41 (27) and 31 (26), respectively. With their 37 (23) and 26 (16), Ben McDermott and Hayden Kerr, respectively, later took the innings total to 162/7 in 20 overs. 

Mohammad Harsi and Fakhar Zaman were out early on for B-Love Kandy

In the chase, the openers of the Kandy side, Mohammad Haris and Fakhar Zaman, were dismissed on the second over of the innings for 2 (7) and 8 (4), respectively. Dinesh Chandimal was the lone hope with his 50 (46) but after he got bowled by Hyden Kerr, there were no major hopes left. Veteran Lankan batter, Angelo Mathews tried with his 26 (15), but it was not enough. Dhananjaya de Silva shined with the ball for Dambulla, as he registered figures of 4/6 in four overs. Later, Dhananjaya was awarded Player of the Match for his outstanding bowling spell.  

Interestingly, star LPL cricketers in this edition are sharing their cricketing knowledge with aspiring young players in the Island nation. This campaign is called “Pro Tip” and aspiring players will get knowledge from veteran international cricketers like David Miller and Wanindu Hasaranga. In the end, for the 20th match of the league, the Colombo Strikers will take on the Galle Titans on August 15 at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.

that's really good to hear but I'm having bit of concerns so are the rest of his Dahani fans that he hasn't been consistent even in last year psl he didn't do much, let's hope he trains harder and hopefully he'll become a huge asset, same goes for Ihsanullah
