Kuldeep Yadav has been one of India’s finest bowlers in the last decade. His career however hasn’t been as successful as his talents would have one believe. Mostly due to injury, the left-arm spinner hasn’t made a permanent position in the team.

Yadav made his international debut for India in March 2017 in a One Day International (ODI) match against Australia. He quickly established himself as a key member of the Indian cricket team, known for his ability to take wickets and control the run rate. He made his Indian T20 League debut in 2014 for the Kolkata team but now plays for the Delhi franchise.

Yadav's performances in the Indian T20 League earned him a place in the Indian national team. He made his ODI debut in 2017 and his Test debut in 2018. In a short period of time, he has established himself as one of the key members of the Indian cricket team. He is known for his ability to take wickets, especially in the limited-overs format, and his variations in the deliveries which makes it difficult for the batsman to pick him.

In 2019, he was rested for most of the year, due to poor form and a loss of confidence in his abilities. However, He made a comeback in 2020 and played an important role in India's successful tour of Australia, where he took 6 wickets in 3 ODI matches. Yadav was later injured and remained out of Team India for the majority of 2021.

The bowler has since then made a comeback in mid-2022 and remains in contention for a spot in the white-ball playing XI. Yadav got selected in the team for the 2^nd ODI against Sri Lanka on January 12^th and it has left fans quite happy. Yadav's selection has come into the team due to an injury to Yuzvendra Chahal in the last match.
