After losing to Australia in the WTC final, India will tour West Indies for two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is, starting on July 12. The tour will begin on July 12 in Dominica, with the Test series taking place first.

The Test series against West Indies will begin India's campaign for the new WTC cycle. The Indian Cricket Board has announced the squads for the Test and the ODI series against the Caribbean on Friday, June 2023.

Cheteshwar Pujara dropped from Test Series

Youngsters Ruturaj Gaikwad and Yashasvi Jaiswal receive their maiden Test call, while Ajinkya Rahane becomes vice-captain after stellar WTC final.

The WTC final loss leads selectors to drop Cheteshwar Pujara due to recent struggles in scoring runs. He failed to score runs against Australia in WTC final 2023 on England soil, where he recently scored many runs in the County Championship.
