Men's Asia Cup 2022 Schedule Announced, India will testify against Pakistan on August 28

The Asia Cup 2022 was scheduled to take place in Sri Lanka. However, the dire economical situation in Sri Lanka threatened the event to be postponed elsewhere. The venue details were long-awaited and it was revealed a few weeks ago. Former India skipper and the president of the Indian cricket board Sourav Ganguly revealed that the event will take place in the United Arab Emirates.

Jay Shah, the secretary of the Indian cricket board and the president of the cricket council of Asia has revealed the Asia Cup 2022 schedule now. The Asia Cup 2022 will kick off on the 27th of August. The inaugural match will be played between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. The blockbuster and most-awaited India-Pakistan match will be played on August 28 in Dubai.

India will march into the tournament as the defending champions. The Asia Cup 2022 will be played in the 20-20 format to prepare for the 20-20 World Cup 2022 to be held in Australia later this year. "The wait is finally over as the battle for Asian supremacy commences on 27th August with the all-important final on 11th September. The 15th edition of the Asia Cup will serve as ideal preparation ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup," Jay Shah tweeted. India will play their first match against Pakistan on August 28.
