India dominated and won the match against arch-rivals Pakistan by 228 runs in the Super 4 stage of the Asia Cup 2023.

India won the arch-rivalry game against Pakistan in the Super 4 stage of the Asia Cup 2023. The result of the match finally arrived on the reserve day. India won the match pretty comfortably due to a collective team effort. It seemed like a perfect game for the Indian team. The Indian players seemed to do nothing wrong against Pakistan in the match. Both the batting and bowling units performed well.  

Only toss went against India in the match. Babar Azam was clouded by the overcast conditions and opted to bowl first. The Indian openers showed what they were up for right from the start. Shubman Gill attacked the Pakistan bowlers right from the start and did not let them settle to their lengths. Even Rohit Sharma smashed the spinners after getting settled. 

But the highlight of the match was the partnership between Virat Kohli and KL Rahul, who scored a hundred. The two middle-order batters dictated the terms against the bowlers and framed a fabulous partnership in the middle. The duo was involved in a 233-run stand for the third wicket, the highest ever in the history of the tournament. 

Indian bowlers collectively dismiss Pakistan for a low score

As a result, India posted a mammoth total of 356 runs on the board, which is the joint highest total by India against Pakistan in the history of ODIs. Chasing the target, Pakistan lost wickets continuously. Bumrah bowled well on his return. The right-arm pacer started the things well by dismissing Imam-Ul-Haq. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan were undone by great deliveries from Hardik Pandya and Shardul Thakur respectively. 

What followed it was a terrific spell from Kuldeep Yadav. The chinaman spinner dismissed Fakhar Zaman and ran through the lower middle order batters of Pakistan. Within moments, Kuldeep dismissed the lower order batters. There was no answer to the spin of Kuldeep. Pakistan lost the match by 228 runs. It was a big win for India, who could not play a full game till this point in the tournament.
