India are taking on Australia in the third Test of the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023. India have already taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series, having won both the first two Tests.

Australia made a great comeback against India at the end of the first day of the third Test, thanks to Matthew Kuhnemann. At Indore, Kuhnemann claimed his first five-wicket haul as India were bowled out for just 109 runs. With 5/16 in nine overs, the left-arm spinner finished the innings with his best figures in international cricket in only his second game.

Rohit Sharma, the captain of India, and Shubman Gill, his opening partner, were among Kuhnemann's victims. Rohit Sharma had been leading the series in runs at the time of the match, so taking his wicket was pretty crucial for the Australians. Before obtaining the pinch-hitting Umesh Yadav, Kuhnemann also acquired the deadly pair of Shreyas Iyer and Ravichandran Ashwin.

What was the conversation between Jadeja and Kuhnemann?

Kuhnemann is a fast learner and wanted to learn more from the number one all-rounder. He asked him after the last Test on any tips.

“I said, have you got any tips for me after the last Test?"

Kuhnemann told us the answer that only a person like Jadeja would say.

"Yes, at the end of the series." Jadeja replied.

"The way he uses his crease and probably the biggest thing I picked up in Delhi is that he brings his length back a little bit when the ball gets older. That’s probably the main thing I took out of the second Test and brought into this Test, probably my length. Don’t want to get full, especially on a wicket that stays low, being consistent on that 5-6 metre length." Kuhnemann added.

Australia are currently ahead in the game with a 47-run lead at the end of Day's play on day 1 of the third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and would be looking to extend it on day 2.
