Former Australian legend Matthew Hayden has picked the Indian team for the ODI World Cup 2023. This will be the 13th edition of the marquee event, which will be hosted by India solely for the first time. It will be the 10-team tournament, which will begin with defending champions England taking on New Zealand in Ahmedabad at the Narendra Modi Stadium on October 5.
Hayden has made interesting changes in the squad as he picked only Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel in the Playing XI squad and left out Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal from the probable 15 team. Interestingly, for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023, Indian selectors have left you Chahal but picked Kuldeep in the squad.

Chahal failed to make the squad for the Asia Cup, which will be just one month before the World Cup, although the left-arm leg spinner was picked three-match ODI series against the West Indies. India will play their opening fixture of the Asia Cup against arch-rivals Pakistan on September 2 in Kandy, Sri Lanka.
