After losing to New Zealand in the first T20I on January 27, Friday, the Indian team would look to make a comeback in the remaining two matches of the series. That being said, post the conclusion of the ongoing series vs the Black Caps, the Rohit Sharma-led team will take on Australia for a four-match Test series.

Ahead of the series, Marcus Stoinis, the Australian allrounder, opened up on the series against the Indian team and claimed that the Indian superstar might come as a threat to the team once again. The allrounder added further that the Baggy Greens would leave no stone unturned to clinch a win this time around, given that they are boarding the flight to India with a pretty strong squad.

“We don't want to lose our trophy this time even though our team never wants to lose it as it could be the third time but we don't want to give up this year,” Stoinis was quoted as saying. Further, Stoinis said that the presence of veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and the return of talented allrounder Ravindra Jadeja might come as a headache for the mighty Australians.

India have some specialist bowlers: Marcus Stoinis

Further, the veteran said that the Australian team will miss Rishabh Pant badly, given that the southpaw used to enjoy playing against the Baggy Greens and is known for his banters while wicketkeeping. India have roped in Ishan Kishan as the backup wicketkeeper this time around, with KS Bharat playing the lead role as the wicketkeeper.

“India have some specialist bowlers like Ashwin and Jadeja. They can really bowl well but we are also coming with some specialist spinners, so you can expect a good competition this time. Kohli is a world-class batsman and has returned to form and he is one of the best Test batters, so he could be the biggest threat once again for us. But one player who will be missed this season badly is Rishabh Pant. He is unfortunately not with the team. I wish he recovers soon and comes back to the field,” Stoinis was quoted as saying.
