Manchester United is preparing to part ways with Cristiano Ronaldo as Eric ten Hag says that he does not want him to play for the club again.

If Ronaldo’s contract ceases, then it will only drive a deeper wedge between the player and the club. On another note, 15 million pounds of the contract are still to be repaid to Ronaldo. The huge amount is still left even after the striker took a loss of pay when United crashed out of this season’s Champions League.

On Thursday, the top brass of United had a meeting where all the bigwigs such as Joel Glazer, the chairman of the club, Chief Executive Richard Arnold, and John Murtough, the director of football, were having a meeting in which Eric Ten Hag was a part of. He stated that he never wants to see Ronaldo play for United again.

In the Interview with Piers Morgan, he said that he did not see eye to eye with the manager of Manchester United because he did not value Ronaldo enough. "I don't have respect for him, because he don't show respect for me." The coach did not have respect for me, he said. He also said the relationship is very strained because of this. He keeps saying to me that he likes me and blah blah blah but it is only for the press.

He further added, saying, "You don't put me on against Manchester City because of respect for my career and you want to put me on for three minutes against Tottenham? It doesn't make sense, I think he did it on purpose. I felt provoked not only because of that game, but before. He don’t respect the way i should deserve. But it is what it is. This is why probably, the game against Tottenham, I left."
