Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore are currently facing off in the 24th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League at the Chinnaswamy stadium. Batting first, Chennai posted a mammoth total of 226/6 after 20 overs, thanks to outstanding efforts by Devon Conway, Ajinkya Rahane, and Shivam Dube. With plenty of destructive batters in the team, RCB will look to start aggressively and chase down the seemingly impossible target.

After winning the toss, RCB took an early lead when Mohammed Siraj dismissed the in-form Ruturaj Gaikwad for three runs in the third over. But this did not affect the four-time champions, as the CSK batters have blasted the RCB bowlers all over the park since then. Conway and Rahane partnered brilliantly to provide the team with an excellent platform. Rahane was dismissed in the 10th over after a 20-ball 37, but that paved the way for Dube to join the party.

The Big hitter in Dubey came out against RCB

The left-hander was not at his best before today's match but against RCB, he was in perfect mood as he hit some of the biggest sixes of the evening and scored a brisk half-century. Dube launched his attack with a 101m six over the bowler's head off the fourth ball of the 11th over. In the 13th over, the 29-year-old hit another massive six - 111 meters - and stunned the Chinnaswamy crowd.

The Southpaw departed for 52 off 27 after smashing a couple of boundaries, but ensured his team reached a comfortable position. Meanwhile, a stat showing Dube has hit three sixes in 100m this season has stunned fans.

 

Speaking after the first innings, Dube said: "It was amazing for me, playing at this stadium, on this wicket and in front of this crowd. I mentioned it before that I back my strengths and that was what was needed today. Definitely, I believe it is not easy to stop me when I get going, that’s what I believe and the team believes. The size of the ground and the wicket was good, and the freedom I got was something I enjoyed."

With two wins in four matches, CSK are currently placed at sixth in the points table. A victory in this game will move them up to fifth place, and if they win by a large margin, they will be able to seize the No. 2 spot as well. Meanwhile, RCB also have four points and have the same chances as CSK.
