Legends League Cricket 2022: Gautam Gambhir hits the nets ahead of the clash against Bhilwara Kings

Legends League Cricket 2022 is underway and has been great so far. Gautam Gambhir was all set to make his debut for India Capitals in the first fixture but did not and it puzzled the Indian fans. The player is one of the most trusted openers and he has done it for India too many times. However, much to the relief of Indian fans and Capitals fans, the southpaw put on a video on his Instagram story on Monday (September 20) where he can be seen practising. 

India Capitals are currently in the last position on the points table. The team would look to do well against Bhilwara Kings on Wednesday (September 21). Gautam Gambhir’s return will be a much-needed addition to the team and he will most likely lead the squad in the forthcoming contest. 

The Indian star shared the video on his Instagram story and it went viral right away. Fans could not keep calm as his arrival is the most anticipated moment of the series. To add more, Gautam Gambhir is the only player who is missing out among the legends who are playing now.

Before the start of the league, Gautam Gambhir said that he was quite nervous to return to the field. Further, he added that he was delighted to make a comeback and play for the team. However, without much information, India Capitals left him out of the playing XI in their first outing. While fans were searching for the answer, Gautam Gambhir answered them all with his Instagram story. 

“I’m pretty nervous. In fact, I am probably way more nervous than I was when I made my international debut because I have not played cricket for a very long time. But it’s exciting because you’ve done that for a very long time. It's always nice to come back and play a game of cricket and a tournament of this level with some of the guys that I’ve played with and against,” the southpaw said before the start of the league.
