Chennai Super Kings have registered their second consecutive victory in Indian Premier League 2023 after losing the first game to Gujarat Titans. This time, CSK defeated their arch-rivals Mumbai Indians by 7 wickets in match number 12 of the season. MI suffered their second consecutive loss of the season after losing their first game to Royal Challengers Bangalore, earlier.

Batting first at the Wankhede stadium, MI posted a total of 157 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. In reply, CSK chased the winning total in 18.1 overs. Ambati Rayadu (20 off 16) hit the winning boundary as CSK scored 159 runs for the loss the 3 wickets and won the match with 11 balls to spare.
