'Last week toh ye Man City ka fan tha' - Fans react as PSG gifts Shubman Gill customised No. 7 jersey during his visit to Paris

Team India went on a month-long break after losing the World Test Championship (WTC) 2021-23 final to Australia at The Oval last Sunday. With no cricket until next month, the Indian players are enjoying the holidays with friends and family, while young sensation Shubman Gill paid a visit to the Parc des Princes stadium, the home ground of Paris Saint-Germain FC (PSG).

India's opening batter is currently in Paris and has decided to visit the iconic stadium. The Ligue 1 champions presented Gil with a customised No. 7 jersey, the number of their star player Kylian Mbappé. "Namaste dosto, here’s India’s favorite cricketer and PSG fan @ShubmanGill at Parc des Princes," the French club wrote on their Twitter account.

As a response to PSG's beautiful gesture, the 23-year-old shared a video on Twitter thanking them. "Hi everyone, this is Shubman Gill here. I want to thank everyone at PSG for having me and Ici c’est Paris!," Gill said in the video, which was also shared by the club.

Earlier in an interview, the youngster had mentioned that Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr are his favourite footballers. Meanwhile, Messi has already left PSG as his two-year contract ends and signed a deal with Inter Miami in the Major Soccer League (MLS), while Mbappe is also rumoured to leave the club without extending his contract.

Gill was also at the FA Cup final to support Manchester City

However, fans are confused as to which football club Gill supports as he has been spotted in different teams' jerseys. Recently, the right-handed batter took to his Instagram to share pictures of himself standing alongside Manchester City stars Kevin de Bruyne and Erling Haaland.

He was also present at the Wembley Stadium for the FA Cup final where Manchester City defeated Manchester United 2-1 to win their second title of the season. Gill attended the summit clash ahead of the WTC final in London along with Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma. Suryakumar Yadav was also present at the stadium with his wife.
