The 2023 season of the Lanka Premier League will start from 30th July. The inaugural match of the season is between Jaffna Kings and Colombo Strikers. Kings are the defending champions, and the Strikers will be playing their first-ever match in the history of the league. Three more teams: B-Town Kandy, Galle Titans, and Dambulla Aura will also play in the tournament.
Some of the top players in the world like Babar Azam, Shakib Al Hasan, David Miller, Maheesh Theekshana, Wanindu Hasaranga, Chris Lynn, Matthew Wade, Naseem Shah, Fakhar Zaman, and Shoaib Malik will take part in the tournament along with some young talents from Sri Lanka. Colombo and Pallekele will host all the matches in the tournament.

In India, the live telecast of the Lanka Premier League can be witnessed on Star Sports 3. The Star Sports network acquired the rights to telecast the matches of LPL 2023. In 2022, Sony Sports Network telecasted the matches of LPL.
The fans can enjoy the matches with English commentary. The commentators for the tournament include the likes of Aamir Sohail, HD Ackerman, R Abeysinghe, Scott Styris, Frances Mckay, Russell Arnold, and Ramiz Raja. The afternoon matches will start at 3:00 PM and evening matches will begin at 7:30 PM in India.
The live streaming for the Lanka Premier League 2023 in India will be available on Fancode. The fans cannot watch the live streaming for free, as Fancode has premium services.
