India fell short at yet another semi-final as their hopes and dreams of winning a second 20-20 World Cup title went up in smoke as England thrashed India in the semi-final clash played in Adelaide by 10 wickets. England assessed the conditions better and were always ahead of India in the do-die encounter.

Alex Hales destroyed the Indian bowling unit he scored 86 off just 47 balls which helped England chase down the target in just 16 overs. Hales also went on to say that his stint in the Big Bash League helped him to use his experience in the big game. He hit four fours and seven sixes in his game-changing knock for England.

When this question was thrown at Rahul Dravid on Indian players playing in T20 Leagues here is what he had to say, “There's no doubt about it that England players have come and played in this tournament (Big Bash League). It's tough, it's very difficult for Indian cricket because a lot of these tournaments happen right at the peak of our season. I think it's a huge challenge for us. A lot of our boys do miss out on the opportunity of playing in these leagues. But it's up to the Indian Cricket Board to make that decision, but the thing is that it's right in the middle of our season,”

Wasim Akram said there won't be a change in approach in T20s for India anytime soon

When the same question was directed to Wasim Akram he had a fiery response ready when he said, "Sabko yehi that ki IPL se India ko bara fark padega because IPL started in 2008. Usse pehle India 2007 me T20 World Cup jitee. Jabse se IPL shuru huyi hai, aaj tak, abhi bhi unfortunately, India kabhi T20 World Cup nehi jita. So usse phir ek question udhta hai ki kya fark padta hai ki, jo main ek interview sunn raha tha abhi, ki unke players jo overseas jaake leagues nehi khelte, ek extra league khelne ki bhi permission milo jaye, kya fark padega innlogon ki approach main? (Everyone thought India would benefit from IPL. It started in 2008. India won the T20 World Cup in 2007. But since the start of IPL, India never won the T20 World Cup. So the question arises, I was just listening to an interview, will India's approach change if they are allowed to play overseas leagues?)" said Akram during a discussion on A Sports.

India failed to break the semi-final jinx in yet another big event as the Men in Blue were bulldozed by the Three Lions in a crushing 10-wicket defeat. England outshone India in all three departments of the game as they look to get their second 20-20 World Cup title on Sunday in Melbourne when they take on Pakistan.
