England were too good for Pakistan in Karachi as they won the third Test by eight wickets on the back of a third Test hundred from Harry Brook and a maiden five-wicket haul by the 18-year-old Rehan Ahmed to take the three-match Test series 3-0.

England and Pakistan locked horns against each other in the third Test against Karachi. England showed Pakistan they were no pushovers in subcontinental conditions as they had already trumped them 2-0. Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first in Karachi. The Men in Green finally got their act together with the bat as they scored 304 in the first innings.

The main contributors for Pakistan in the first innings were Azhar Ali who scored 45 off 68 balls with 6 fours. Babar Azam scored a fine 78 off 123 balls with 9 fours before he was run out in an unfortunate mix-up with Agha Salman. Salman also made a fine 56 off 93 balls with six fours.

For England in the first innings, it was Harry Brook at the forefront again with a sublime 111 off 150 balls with eight fours and 3 sixes. This was his third hundred of the series. He was supplemented by good contributions from Olie Pope who scored 51 off 64 balls with four fours and Ben Foakes who scored 64 off 121 balls with six fours. England got to 354 in their first innings.

Rehan Ahmed was the star for Pakistan in the second innings

In the second innings, Pakistan recovered from a horror start at 54-3, with a good partnership between Babar Azam and Saud Shakeel who scored 54 of 104 balls with 7 fours and 53 off 133 balls with six fours. Rehan Ahmed was the hero for England in the second innings as he dismissed the two set batters at that point of time in Babar and Saud and then went on to get a five-wicket haul in his debut Test.

Pakistan could muster just 216 in the second innings. England did not have much to chase in their final innings in Karachi as Zak Crawley scored 41 off 41 balls with seven fours and Ben Duckett scored an unbeaten 82 off 78 balls with 12 fours. He also scored the winning hit for England. Ben Stokes also made a good cameo of 35 off 43 balls with 3 fours to ensure England romped home by 8 wickets.
