'Kuch alag hi sound kar raha hai' - Fans react as Superstar Rajnikanth says he cannot watch Kavya Maran sad on TV during IPL

Sunrisers Hyderabad has been one of those franchises known for taking some great decisions from 2013 to 2020 and pathetic decisions from 2021. From 2016 to 2020, Sunrisers Hyderabad qualified for the playoffs of every season. In 2016, the orange army won its maiden title. To date, the Hyderabad-based franchise is the only team to win a title after playing Eliminator.  

Under the leadership of David Warner and Kane Williamson, Sunrisers Hyderabad blossomed well. In 2016, under the leadership and excellence of David Warner, Hyderabad won the tournament. In 2017, under the leadership of David Warner, the franchise from South India made it to the playoffs of the season.  

In 2018, Kane Williamson was the captain of the franchise. Under the leadership of the New Zealand captain, Hyderabad entered the second final in their history. Although the men in orange lost to Chennai Super Kings in the final. In 2019, SRH again made it to the playoffs. In 2020, under the leadership of David Warner, SRH finished third in the season.  

Brain Fade decisions since 2021

While things were going well for SRH till 2020, the following seasons went horrible for them. In 2021, SRH made the biggest blunder by dropping their captain David Warner in the middle of the tournament. In the same tournament, they finished last in the points table. In 2022, the orange army finished eighth. In the latest season of IPL in 2023, SRH again finished last.  

Speaking about the failure of the franchise in the last three seasons, the superstar of Tamil and Indian cinema Rajnikanth said that there is a need for the franchise to find better players. The 72-year-old was in the audio launch event of his latest movie named ‘Jailer’. The actor said “Kalanithi Maran should go for good players in Sunrisers Hyderabad team. I feel bad seeing Kavya Maran like that on TV during the IPL” and felt that the owners of the franchise must go for good players in the auction.
