India's captain Rohit Sharma is the brand ambassador of ‘CricKingdom’, a cricket academy based in Dubai. The Cricket Academy at the project will be managed by CricKingdom and mentored by certified coaches to run the coaching operations, consultations and all the other game-related advice for the resident children of the project.

Crickingdom has already been launched in Singapore and Japan. Expansion plans are in the works in nearby Bangladesh. However, the academy in the United States is already featured on their website, and it is slated to open soon. Chetan Suryawanshi, one of Rohit's business partners, shared a snap from the pre-launch celebrations.

Rohit Sharma rested before Asia Cup 

Rohit Sharma played in the first ODI and was dropped for the next two games as Hardik Pandya took over the captaincy. The visitors won the series 2-1. But Rohit did not return home straightaway as Virat Kohli did. He instead stayed back for the plans of Crickingdom’s launch in California.

The senior players will take part in the Asia Cup before beginning their preparation for the ODI World Cup 2023. The duo is not a part of the T20 squad as the Indian Cricket Board has given Hardik Pandya to lead a young team keeping in mind the 2024 T20 World Cup. While the focus now remains on the Asia Cup, the duo along with the team for the Asia Cup will join the camp at NCA in Bengaluru to hone their fitness ahead of the big tournament.

He was previously quoted saying, "CricKingdom seeks to merge the time-tested theories that have produced legends in the game along with modern scientific training methodologies." "The vision is far-sighted and it seeks to make every aspect professional and structured,” said Rohit, who is also being proposed to be a Director."

The skipper has been rested for the Ireland series as well, Jasprit Bumrah will lead a reserve Indian team to Ireland for a 3-match series and will get a 2-day break after the series.
