KL Rahul is among the best cricketers in the nation but his performance, of late, has been inconsistent. Rahul was sacked as the vice-captain of the Indian Test team after another failure in the second Test against Australia in Delhi.

The third Test, which begins on March 1 in Indore, pits India against Australia. India already lead the Test series 2-0. Despite all the criticism, Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid continues to back him and will keep KL Rahul in the team for the final two Test matches.

However, the Karnataka batter has lost his vice-captaincy after the selectors decided to relieve him of his responsibilities as Rohit Sharma's deputy. Rahul has utterly failed in the first two Test matches, scoring a total of 38 runs in three innings. There have been complaints over his inclusion in the team during his slump, while an in-form Shubman Gill has been forced to sit on the bench as a result of his selection.

Amidst this, KL Rahul and his newly wedded bride Athiya Shetty were sighted at the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Madhya Pradesh ahead of the game. The Indian team has already arrived in Indore. Last month, the Indian batter wed Bollywood star Suniel Shetty's daughter, and the couple made a pilgrimage to a shrine to pray.

Rahul and actress Athiya Shetty visited the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Madhya Pradesh before the third Test match in Indore. As soon as their photo appeared on social media, followers began to respond. Several supporters thought he was copying Virat Kohli's strategy to regain his form.

His persistent problems with the bat may lead him to turn to the almighty for comfort. In the last 12 months, KL Rahul's Test cricket average has only been 13.6. Rohit Sharma and Co. have defeated every opponent this year, therefore his poor performance hasn't had an impact on the Indian team. Fans would be hoping that Rahul regains his form soon with a big year ahead of the Indian team.
