Liverpool's coach Jurgen Klopp has criticized FC Barcelona for its spending amid the financial crisis. The boss of The Reds said to BILD that he is not a financial expert but cannot understand Barcelona's strategy. The Catalan Giants have been through a financial crisis and have incurred over one billion euros in debt. However, the team has managed to buy some expensive players despite the debt.

The president of Barcelona is trying his best to balance things and still get the best guys in camp for coach Xavi. They bought Jules Kounde for forty-six million euros, while Raphinha arrived at the camp for a whopping fifty-six million euros. The Barcelona Football Club sold nearly 24.5% stake of their in-house TV channel to register the players.

"One reason is that I'm not a financial expert. The second: If you tell me I don't have any money, then I don't spend anything anymore. My credit card has also been cut up twice, luckily that was a few years ago," the Reds' boss said.

Jurgen Klopp hoped for the issues to be sorted as early as possible. He added that he views the issue from a football fan's view. And the German did not shy away from acknowledging the team's credibility for their past performances. He drew a comparison between Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona and wondered if Barcelona had someone like Aki Watzke to save them.

"I'm watching this like a football fan, I don't understand. I've found the club to be outstanding over the last few decades that I've been watching football and I hope they pull it off. The only club I know that once sold the stadium and other rights in advance was Borussia Dortmund. Aki Watzke had to come at the last second and save the whole thing. And I don't know if there is an Aki Watzke in Barcelona," Klopp added.

The debt did not prevent the Catalan Giants from signing players at an expensive price. And it did not stop from the signing spree for this summer. Many hope for the team to come back to its best very soon.
