England trounced India in the semi-final by 10 wickets in Adelaide. The England bowlers did an outstanding job to restrict India to just 168 on the board. Chris Jordan picked up 3-43 in his four overs. Adil Rashid worked his magic as he picked up Suryakumar Yadav in his four overs which cost only 20 runs.

In the second innings, India’s pedestrian bowling performance was no match for a 170-run opening stand between Jos Butler and Alex Hales which put India on the mat and did not allow the Men in Blue to comeback into the game. India were not up to the mark and ended up suffering a crushing defeat.

Johnny Bairstow who suffered an injury before the 20-20 World Cup was announced talked about England’s impressive showing in the 20-20 World Cup. Here is what he had to say: "It was amazing, what a performance, as clinical as you can be. You need people to stand up in a semi-final and that's exactly what happened." "Absolutely. They were fearless all the way through the run chase."

The series win against Pakistan will give England confidence in the final- Johnny Bairstow

Here is what he had to say about the big clash against Pakistan: "There will be confidence after that seven-match series in Pakistan that we came out the right side of but we also know the qualities they have. England won a seven match T20I series in Pakistan 4-3 recently.

"It is a level playing field when it comes to a World Cup final, I don't think there are favourites. If Pakistan's players stand up, it is going to be an enthralling game but if we can take early wickets and get into the middle order, we should be alright," added Bairstow.

The final will be a superb encounter to watch considering Pakistan’s late resurgence in the 20-20 World Cup and England’s no holds barred approach in white ball cricket. the Three Lions and the Men in Green will be gunning for a second 20-20 World Cup title having won their first in 2010 and 2009 respectively.
