India and Bangladesh lock horns at the second Test in Dhaka. India had some confidence coming into this Test match after winning the last game against Bangladesh. And also, they trounced their eastern neighbours by 188 runs. Kuldeep Yadav had a Test match to remember as he starred with bat and ball for India.
In the second Test, it turned out to be a milestone Test for Jaydev Unadkat as he made a comeback to the Indian Test Team. He had last played 2010. He is second on the list in terms of most Tests missed in between appearances which is 118. The Saurashtra captain has earned a well-deserved Test call up on the back of topping the charts in domestic cricket.
He had a wonderful start as Zakir Hasan turned out to be his first comeback wicket. It was a short ball that seamed in with the extra bounce, Zakir gets into a tangle as he tried to play a horizontal bat shot. He was cramped for room and could not execute the shot well. The ball lobs up in the air to the fourth slip fielder of his gloves.

The left -arm -pacer has also been part of the resurgence for Saurashtra in domestic cricket. He has induced a winning mentality in the side which has led to a Ranji Trophy triumph in 2020 and also winning the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2021-2022. He has also changed the way Saurashtra looks at One Day and T20 cricket.
The-31-year-old was the leading wicket taker in the Ranji Trophy in 2019-2020 with 67 wickets to his name. He has picked up 353 wickets in first class cricket. He has aged like fine wine, and he has had the never say die attitude which has given him a spot in the Indian Test side.
The Saurashtra Premier League which is the T20 competition for the region has helped in making giant strides in white ball cricket, It has helped them to have a good show at the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as well because it helped more young cricketers come into the first-class circuit for Saurashtra.
