Jasprit Bumrah is one of the greatest Indian bowlers in history. The Gujarat-born has been a boon for India in all three formats and it has been a blessing for the team. However, the star pacer missed out on the Asia Cup 2022 due to an injury. Albeit he played well in the series against Australia, it was confirmed yesterday that Jasprit Bumrah has sustained a back stress fracture.

There were reports claiming that the bowler might well be out of the 20-20 World Cup 2022. This frustrated the Indian fans who are already upset with the bowling display from the Men in Blue. Reasonably, Jasprit Bumrah has been the backbone of the Indian pace battery.

Amid all the chaos, a reputed user on Twitter, K Shriniwas Rao, has revealed that the bowler might travel to the 20-20 World Cup 2022. The user reported that the Indian bowler is in safe hands and might as well board the flight to Australia. This has come as a relief to the Indian fans who hoped for the return of the star pacer.

Jasprit Bumrah to return for the 20-20 World Cup?

“Was travelling last couple of days so missed out on quite a bit… So, all those worried about the possibility of Jasprit Bumrah missing the World Cup… please don’t be. He is in very good hands & the word coming out right now is extremely positive — he may fly. Fingers (crossed emoji),” K Shriniwas Rao tweeted.

Mohammed Siraj has replaced him in the ongoing series against South Africa. However, Jasprit Bumrah’s return might come as a great boon for India. The Men in Blue are on a mission to turn things around from the previous edition of the 20-20 World Cup.

Earlier an official from the Indian cricket board claimed that the Indian pacer might miss out on the 20-20 World Cup 2022. “Bumrah is not going to play the 20-20 World Cup for sure. He has a serious back condition. It’s a stress fracture and he could be out for a period of six months,” the official had said earlier on condition of anonymity.

However, this tweet has put an end to speculations and fans would hope for Jasprit Bumrah’s return at the earliest.
