There is no shortage of adrenaline  and excitement when it comes to an India vs Pakistan cricket clash. It is one of the greatest rivalries in the history of the game and any game involving the two sides is always an exciting affair.

The upcoming clash between India and Pakistan is likely to be the same because the storied rivalry is all set to take centerstage, once again. The two teams will draw swords and clash with each other on the 28th of August. The game, all though, will be fiery and feisty as always but there is the absence of mainstays from both the sides.

While India are set to be without the services of  their ace of pace Jasprit Bumrah and also Harshal Patel, Pakistan are set to miss the services of Shaheen Afridi.  Pakistan received the jolt on Saturday  as Shaheen Shah Afridi was ruled out of the tournament due to an injury. Afridi's absence certainly is a huge blow to Pakistan's chances and his absence will be felt when the Men in Green lock horns with the Men in Blue in the big game.

A lot of reactions came on social media following Afridi's injury. Pakistan pace legend Waqar Younis' Tweet regarding the same grabbed eyeballs. He said the fast bowler's absence is a 'big relief' for India's top-order batters. "Shaheen’s injury Big relief for the Indian top order batsmen. Sad we won’t be seeing him in #AsiaCup2022. Get fit soon Champ," he wrote in a tweet.

Younis' tweet set Twitter on fire with many Indian fans of the view that India would still have been favourites even if Afridi was available. Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan also took notice of Younis' tweet and took a dig at the former Pakistan pacer.

Irfan Pathan reminded Younis of the absence of Bumrah and Harshal from the Indian squad in a cheeky tweet in response to his post on Afridi's injury.

"It’s a relief of other teams that Bumrah and Harshal aren’t playing this Asia cup!," wrote Pathan.
