The Indian Cricket Board announced earlier this week that it has signed Adidas as the new kit sponsor of the Indian cricket team, and fans have been excited to see their favourite players step out in the new attire. On Thursday, the governing body revealed the training kit with new sponsors as they prepare for the Test Championship final in England.

The kit sponsorship deal with Adidas runs until March 2028 and the players will wear the new kit for the first time when they face Australia at The Oval next month, the board said. Adding to the Indian Cricket Board statement, Secretary Jay Shah confirmed that the German sportswear giant will design and manufacture jerseys, kits, and other goods for India's men's, women's, and Under-19 teams.

"We are committed to helping grow the game of cricket and could not be more excited to partner with one of the world's leading sportswear brands, Adidas, in this journey," Shah said.

Adidas will take effect when the contract with Killer Jeans, which had manufactured the kits for the Indian team, expires at the end of this month. However, the value of the new contract has not been disclosed. Killer took over the kit sponsorship from MPL, which had a three-year deal with Team India for 6.5 lahks per match and 9 crores in royalties.

The Indian Cricket Board shared a few pictures on social media of the coaching staff, including head coach Rahul Dravid and pacers Shardul Thakur and Umesh Yadav in the new kit.
