Irfan Pathan’s latest tweet is creating a storm in the social media space. The former India star put out a tweet just hours after Pakistan landed in India. The Pakistani team have started their training for the 2023 ODI World Cup.

Babar Azam and his team will play New Zealand on Friday in Hyderabad in the first warm-up game. Indian fans thronged to welcome the 1992 World Cup winners. Some of the senior members of the Pakistan side seemed really happy with the reception they got.

The likes of Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Rizwan, and Babar Azam shared their views after landing in India. Irfan Pathan for his part is known to have fun banter with the Pakistani Cricket fans on social media.

Former India player Irfan Pathan took to Twitter and seemingly had a go at detractors on social media. Irfan Pathan's tweet was cryptic as he spoke about India as a host. It is not clear whom the message was for or directed at as social media went abuzz with speculation.

The 38-year-old wrote “Hamari mehman nawazi se surprise hai kaafi log. We are the best HOST in every scope of life not just cricket. That’s how we are as a nation and ppl. All the countries come to play World Cup will have most memorable tournament”

The tweet was out on Thursday afternoon and grabbed a lot of attention. The comments from the fans varied with many supporting the view given by Irfan Pathan. Pakistan has come to India after seven years to take part in the 2023 ODI World Cup. Babar Azam’s side landed late on Wednesday night and was given a rousing welcome by the fans.

The Indian team will play England in their first warm-up game on Saturday. This will be followed by a game against the Netherlands. The Indian team plays Australia in their 1^st game in Chennai on the Eighth of October. Pakistan will open their 2023 World Cup tournament against Holland in Hyderabad. India and Pakistan will then meet on 14^th October in Ahmedabad in the most awaited clash of the 2023 ODI World Cup.
