India head coach Rahul Dravid has given a strong response to privacy breach incident that involved Virat Kohli. He gave his views on the incident after India’s Super 12 match against South Africa, calling the incident as ‘Disappointing’. The former Indian skipper said that the hotel room is one place where people feel very secure and when privacy is breached, it doesn't help anyone.

Kohli re-shared a video on Instagram in which a person recorded the interiors of his hotel room at crown resorts in Perth where Kohli’s personal belongings, his prized shoe collection, his health supplements, and his suitcase, which was opened, were revealed in a video titled ‘King Kohli’s hotel room’.

In a long Instagram post, where Kohli was alarmed by the breach of privacy, Crown resorts put out an apology and sacked the personnel involved.

"It was disappointing, it's not very comfortable for anyone, let alone Virat. We have flagged it with the relevant authorities, and they have taken action. Hopefully, incidents like this won't happen in the future and hopefully, people are a lot more careful. That's (hotel room) the one place you feel you are away from the prying eyes and without the media glare, without the photographers and all of these that the players have to deal with. When that's taken away, it's not really a nice feeling," Dravid said in the pre-match press conference in Adelaide on Tuesday.

'He is absolutely fine' - Rahul Dravid on Virat Kohli

The India coach said that Kohli deserves a pat on the back for putting behind what happened and that he looks to be in good touch for the match against Bangladesh which will take place in Adelaide.

"He has dealt with it very well. He's here to train. He's absolutely fine," Dravid added. He has been in good nick and has carried his form from the Asia Cup 2022. He has been a strong form in two out of the three games for India in the 20-20 World Cup as he made a game-changing 82 not out of 53 balls against Pakistan and then followed it up with 62 off 44 balls against the Netherlands.
