The Delih franchise has suffered the second consecutive loss in the Indian T20 League 2023, while the defending champions Gujarat registered their consecutive victory of the season as they won the match by 6 wickets. Batting first at the Arun Jaitley stadium, Delhi posted 162 for 6 wickets. In reply, Gujarat chased the winning total in 18.1 overs losing 4 wickets
Gujarat skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss and asked Delhi to bat first. Delhi didn’t have a great start as they lost Prithvi Shaw and Mitchell Marsh under five overs. Mohammed Shami provided early breakthroughs for Gujarat in the powerplay. After that, skipper David Warner played another steady knock as he got out after scoring 37 runs off 32 balls hitting seven boundaries.
Warner was bowled by Alzarri Joseph on the second ball of the ninth over. On the very next delivery, Joseph struck again as he dismissed Rilee Rossouw for a golden duck, thanks to the brilliant low catch by Rahul Tewatia after Rossouw’s bat found the edge of the sharp bouncer. Sarfaraz Khan was also seen struggling with the bat as he got out after scoring 30 runs off 34 balls.
After that, Abishek Porel and Axar Patel went on to produce some big hits in death overs. Porel got out after scoring 20 off 11 smashing two sixes, while Axar got out after scoring 36 off 22 hitting two fours and three sixes, due to which Delhi crossed 160 runs. Mohammed Shami and Rashid Khan took 3-3 wickets each for Gujarat, while Alzarri Joseph put 2 in his bag.
Sai Sudharsan led Gujarat to a victory with his fifty
Chasing 163 runs, Gujarat lost 3 wickets in the first six overs by scoring 54 runs. Wridhiman Saha lost his wicket in the third over as Anrich Nortje cleared his stumps. A couple of overs later, Nortje stuck again to dismiss Shubman Gill in the same manner. Skipper Hardik Pandya also lost his wicket in the last ball of the powerplay as Khaleel Ahmed’s delivery found the edge of his bat and Abishek Porel did no mistake behind the stumps. After that, Vijay Shankar and Sai Sudharsan added 53 runs for the fourth wicket.
Shankkar got out after scoring 29 off 23, while Sudharsan remained on 62 runs off 48 balls with four fours and two sixes. David Miller scored the winning runs as he also remained unbeaten by smashing 31 off 16 as Gujarat chased the winning total by losing 4 wickets with 11 balls to spare.

Sai Sudharsan is one of the most impressive youngsters from Tamil Nadu, GT got him for just 20 Lakh, Williamson ruled out & he got the opportunity to bat at 3 and taken with both hands.

They’re looking unbeatable. Hardiks captaincy and Nehras coaching is working wonders for the team . Hardik might end up wining the trophy twice in the trot . Every player is helping them win a match . He should be the captain in white ball cricket for India
