'Is that Chennai's mate'- Moeen Ali spotted a Chennai fan and made his day

Moeen Ali is busy with his Worcestershire Rapids team in this year's Vitality Blast 2022. Initially, he was not part of the squad as he was given extra time to recuperate after playing for the Chennai franchise in this year’s Indian T20 League. The left-handed batter had a decent season with the Chennai franchise as he scored 244 runs in 10 innings with an average of 24.40. He also scored a 19-ball half-century against the Rajasthan franchise.   

He also picked 8 wickets at an economy of 6.62. Hence, his Vitality Blast side gave him some extra time to get refreshed. Meanwhile, an interesting incident, involving Moeen Ali, happened during this year’s Vitality Blast. Among many supporters, Moeen Ali managed to spot a Chennai fan and clicked a photo with him also. This gesture of Ali impressed the fan and a fanboy moment got real.

The Chennai fan was completely delighted when Moeen found him out. He said that Ali Bhai spotted him in a distance despite the fact that he was wearing a jacket over his Chennai jersey. Moeen Ali also pointed a finger at him by asking: “is that CSK mate!???” This whole incident made the fan's day as it showed the affection of Moeen Ali towards the Chennai franchise.

Speaking about his current form in this year’s Vitality Blast, he played only four matches and managed to score 44 runs only at an average of 11. He also scalped three wickets only at an economy of 8.36.  During his absence, vice-captain Ben Cox was given the captaincy duties for this side.               

Worcestershire Rapids is not having a good season at all as they are sitting at the rock bottom of the North Group table. They managed to win only one in eight matches they have played so far.
