The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is drawing to a close as four-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) are set to clash in the final today (Sunday). The tournament kicked off on March 31 in the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad with the same squad going head-to-head against one another, and it will conclude at the same venue.

The stage is now set for MS Dhoni and Co to lift their fifth title while Hardik Pandya's side will be eyeing their second successive IPL success. While the Ahmedabad-based franchise had an impressive win over CSK in their tournament opener at home, the latter took revenge by beating them by 15 runs in Qualifier 1 at their stronghold of Chepauk.

Ahead of the summit clash, the prize money details for the 16th edition of the world's richest league have been revealed, with a total prize pool of Rs 46.5 crore for all participating teams. The Rajasthan Royals (RR), who won the league's debut season (2008), received INR 4.8 crores in prize money, while the league's runners-up, CSK, received INR 2 crore. Meanwhile, the champions of IPL 2023 will receive INR 20 crore, while the runners-up will be awarded INR 13 crore.

How much will MI and CSK earn?

Third-placed Mumbai Indians (MI) will get INR 7 crore and fourth-placed Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will receive INR 6.5 crore this season. A cash prize of 15 lakh rupees each will be given to the Purple Cap and Orange Cap winners. The Most Valuable Player of the Season is set to receive ₹12 lahks, while the Emerging Player of the Tournament will be awarded ₹20 lahks.

The winners of Power Player of the Season, Super Striker of the Season and Game Changer of the Season will be rewarded a cash prize of Rs 15 lakh. The league stage of the IPL 2023 offered up to six add-on awards at one lakh each.
