'International embarrassment se bach gaye' - Fans react as India win third T20I against West Indies in Guyana

India won the third T20I against West Indies to stay alive in the series. On a good wicket in Guyana, West Indies captain Rovman Powell won the toss and elected to bat first. The Indian bowlers bowled well throughout the innings, especially till the 17th over. Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowlers, who claimed 3 wickets and conceded only 28 runs in his spell of 4 overs.  

The chinaman bowler claimed the wickets of Brandon King, Johnson Charle, and dangerous Nicholas Pooran. Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya were good in their spells. Chahal bowled a good spell despite being wicketless. Arshdeep Singh did not have a good day with the ball and often missed Yorkers. Collectively though, India bowled well as a unit.  

For West Indies, the captain stepped up with the bat. Powell’s 40*(19) helped West Indies to reach a total of 159 runs in their 50 overs. Brandon King and Johnson Charles halted the momentum for the home side with their slow innings. Chasing the target, India lost its opening pair early. The debutant Jaiswal was dismissed for a run and Gill scored 6(11).  

Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma shine for India

Suryakumar Yadav was at his absolute best in a must-win game for India. The versatile batter scored runs all over the park like he usually does and toyed with the bowlers. All the bowlers were taken to the cleaners by the World's number 1 T20I batter. The 32-year-old scored 83 runs in 44 deliveries which included 10 fours and 4 sixes. It was the 17th fifty-plus score for the Mumbai batter in the format.  

At the other end, Tilak Varma showed his composure yet again. As Yadav was in sublime touch, Varma played the role of an anchor. The Southpaw batted through the innings and helped his team to finish the game without any hiccups. Hardik Pandya scored 20(15) towards the end. Alzarri Joseph was the pick of the bowlers for the home side, who claimed 2 wickets and conceded only 25 runs in his 4 overs.
