The Pakistan Super League 8 matches in Lahore will begin today, February 26. The first match in Lahore will see the Lahore Qalandars take on the Peshawar Zalmi team in the second game of the day in the Pakistan Super League. Peshawar Zalmi, led by Pakistan's all-format captain Babar Azam, will be hoping to return to winning ways once again after a disappointing loss to Islamabad United in their last league game, which was played a few days back. Babar Azam was the key batter once again in that match as he took his team to an average total but still ended up on the losing side.

Lahore Qalandars would hope to continue their winning run and get another win under their belt. They won their last game by a massive margin of 63 runs against Quetta Gladiators and would be hoping to replicate that performance this time around.

What has been stolen from the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore?

According to PCB officials, pricey security cameras that were put at Gaddafi Stadium to record Pakistan Super League 8 matches were stolen. Also, the suspects stole fibre optic cables, generators, and batteries. The robbers may be seen escaping on Surveillance, but they escaped arrest.

Two cases were reported to the Gulberg police, who then started an investigation. Despite the presence of police, rangers, and PCB security officers, the incident occurred. The batteries of the generators used to power the stadium's floodlight, according to the claim, were also taken. In addition, a unique control room was built to keep track of the cameras. Call it police incompetence or stupidity on the part of the robbers that they have not been detained despite CCTV evidence of their getaway.

According to various reports, the Pakistan Cricket Board rejected the Punjab government's demand for Rs 45 crore in payment for security and other costs. The Pakistan Cricket Board had decided to move the fixtures from Lahore to Karachi due to the inability of the two parties to resolve their differences.
