India cricketer Prithvi Shaw has been accused of molestation by an Instagram influencer, Sapna Gill. Notably, the latter was accused and arrested for trying to attack Shaw alongside her friend Shobhit Thakur. After her release, Gill registered a molestation case against the cricketer and his friend Ashish Yadav. Meanwhile, Gill and Thakur's lawyer, Kaashif Ali Khan helped his clients register the case.

Khan claims that Thakur is a teenager and was unable to defend himself while Shaw and his friend were beating Shobhit. The lawyer added that Gill tried to intervene and tried to stop Shaw and his friend.

“Thakur, who is just a teenager, was unaware of the brutality of the drunken mob. Thakur was helpless and was unable to defend himself. Hence, she (Gill) intervened and entered the fray, trying to stop Shaw and others from further harming and injuring Thakur.”

On the other hand, Gill has claimed that the 2018 U19 World Cup-winning skipper hit her. The former added that Shaw had brought his other friends while Gill and Thakur were the only two people present at the sight. The Bhojpuri actress also claimed that she never asked Shaw for a selfie. For the unversed, this all started after the right-hander was asked for a second selfie which he denied.

“He (Shaw) hit me on the chest and arms. We were there just to take help of the police. They were eight to ten people, and we were just two. I do not know him, nor have I ever seen him. I never asked for a selfie with him. He was totally drunk. He was in front of a police station; he could have filed the FIR then only,” she said.
